Offers advice to callers on what to do and whom to contact in relation to mental health issues.
Crisis Care - 1800 199 008
Call when urgent advice is needed in relation to serious problems like domestic violence, the safety of a child, or threatening family arguments. Crisis Care also helps with homelessness, and feelings of aloneness.
Family Helpline - 1800 643 000 or 9223 1100
For families with relationship difficulties. The counselling service is free and confidential.
Kids Help Line - 1800 55 1800
For young people aged between 5 - 18. Available 24-hours. It's free and confidential.
Lifeline - 13 11 14
Offers a wide range of counselling services ranging from relationship issues, mental health, loss, grief, domestic violence, abuse, addictive behaviours, disability and illness, and suicide prevention and support.
Mercy Reconnect - 1800 800 046
Provides assistance to young people (12-18 yrs) who are having difficulty staying at home or who have become homeless due to family issues.
Parent Drug Information Service - 1800 653 203
Provides a 24-hour confidential service for parents and families dealing with drug related issues.
Parenting Line - 1800 654 432
Provides information and advice to people caring for children up to 18 years of age. From toddler taming through to challenging teen behaviour, there's a friendly voice at the end of the phone that understands and can help.
