How we work

The Wishing Well Clinics deliver outstanding, accredited, comprehensive medical care throughout the south west of Western Australia. Clinics are located at  Bunbury, Busselton and Capel.

Please call to make an appointment.

Same day appointments are sometimes available. But if not, our friendly receptionist can put you on that day's waiting list. Otherwise the receptionist will book the next most convenient time for you.

Please advise the receptionist if you're making an appointment for:

  • 6 week old check and immunisation for babies

  • Women's health check (e.g. pap smear)

  • Men's health check

  • Minor procedures (e.g. removal of minor lesions, repair of minor wounds,  sutures removed)

  • Extended care consultations (e.g. depression, weight management, diabetes management, sexual health, asthma)

  • Paperwork your doctor needs to complete

  • More than one health issue to discuss in detail

  • 4-year old Health Check

  • 45-49 year old Health Check

  • 75+ Health Check

A minimum of 2 hours notice is appreciated if you need to cancel your appointment. That way we can make the appointment available for another patient in need. (Failure to cancel at least 2 hours prior to your appointment will incur a fee.)

Doctor access

Sometimes you need to speak to your doctor. Explain to the receptionist the nature of your call. If your doctor is not available to speak to you, the receptionist will take a message. Your call will be returned at the doctor's earliest convenience.

Test results

You are always welcome to phone us for your blood and other test results. If your doctor requires a follow-up appointment the receptionist will advise you.

Home visits

Home visits are only for the critically ill and those unable to attend the nearest local Wishing Well Clinic due to acute or chronic illness. Patients are telephoned by the treating doctor for triage. Advice may be provided along with valuable self care management before the doctor’s actual visit.

Your rights

We take your concerns, suggestions and complaints seriously. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or the receptionist. Or you can speak confidentially with the Practice Manager on 9791 5355.

Are you eligible for bulk-billing?
Only pensioners, Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA),  those with valid concession cards and children under the age of 16 are automatically bulk billed. Otherwise, fees are payable after your consultation.
(View the list of consultation fees at reception or enquire about the fee before you book. )

You can pay using:

  • Cash

  • EFTpos

  • Credit card (Visa and Mastercard only)

All your medical records and conversations with your doctor remain confidential. So speak openly with your doctor. View him or her as your health care partner. Keep your health the best you can for you.

Repeat prescriptions

Repeat prescription may be ordered over the phone depending on the type of medication. Our doctors require a minimum of 48-hours notice before you arrive to collect the script.  A fee 'may' be applicable.

The Wishing Well Clinic believes in keeping your health the best it can be for you. That's why we send out reminders. The reminders can be for immunisations, annual health checks, pap smears and more. If you do not wish to receive 'reminders' just call your local Wishing Well Clinic.

Outside business hours

When you call your Wishing Well Clinic out-of-business-hours, a recorded message will direct you to the doctor on call. Alternatively you can call the After Hours GP helpline 1800 022 222 or contact the emergency department of your nearest hospital or health campus.
