Provided your pregnancy is progressing normally, you’re not having twins, and there are no pre-existing health conditions like diabetes, your doctor liaises with the obstetrician overseeing the birth. Shared pregnancy care offers you the convenience of visiting your local doctor instead of travelling further to antenatal clinics. Many mums-to-be who share a good relationship with their GP choose Shared Pregnancy Care.
Diseases frequently vaccinated against include diphtheria, tetanus, influenza, rubella, hepatitis B, meningococcal disease and pneumococcal disease. Ask your doctor what is the best vaccination plan for you and your family.
Managing your weight can reduce your risk of serious health problems. Obesity is associated with health problems such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and certain cancers. Discuss your travel plans in advance of your holiday. Your doctor will write a script for the appropriate vaccine. Chemists may need to order the vaccine. So plan ahead, vaccinate and stay healthy.
